Having ascended to the role of Project Operations Manager, she has supervised three shelters and an outreach team across multiple locations in the Lower Mainland. Beyond her professional achievements, she actively engages in community service, serving as the Rotary Club Secretary and contributing to three district committees focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her commitment to advocacy has been recognized with the prestigious Don Evans Award for her dedicated work in supporting Indigenous communities. Additionally, Zarina is the Director and Founder of Saferide, a vital initiative providing transportation solutions for Aboriginal women.
She's also a trailblazer in education, spearheading programs at Sir Charlie's Tupper Secondary School that empower Filipino teenage mothers to complete their high school education, thus making a profound impact on their lives and futures.
