Kim Lacanaria

Kim was born and raised in San Juan, La Union and immigrated to Canada when she was 9. She is currently on her last year of High School hoping to pursue her studies in the International Hospitality Business and study abroad to learn more about the different cultures around the world.

She was a first-generation immigrant and at a young age, Kim's vision is to create a safe place for young immigrants to embody the feeling of "Home" here in Canada. At 16, she had a small vision of creating an event called, "Palarong Pinoy" which involved students across the Vancouver School Board to celebrate the Filipino Heritage, where she was successfully turning it into a reality. Kim was the President of Filipino Club in 2023 and is currently the President of DT Business Club.

On her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, swimming and most especially, living life to her fullest. She believes that her positivity is the greatest attribute to the community.
